The TOP Strength Project started in January 2016 with a vision.  Throughout my 12 short years in the industry, I couldn’t help but notice all of the different fitness niches being at odds with one another.  Bodybuilders hating, Powerlifters thinking everyone’s stupid, and Strongmen and women training alone in garage gyms with no facilities available for their needs.

As someone who enjoys and does all of it, I’ve experienced degrees of overlap between all of the different practices in my own training. The largest one being that they all share the same goal: to improve.  We all just want to get better. Stronger, Bigger, Faster, Leaner, maybe even Healthier.

I set out to create a results and community driven training facility; where like minded people could come together, and train; and in doing so, create the ultimate fitness collaborative. It didn’t take long for the vision to come to life. After three short years in a small personal training studio, it was time for The TOP Strength Project to expand to its new 10,000 square foot location and offer a full all-access membership to the general public. 

I set out to create a results and community driven training facility; where like minded people could come together, and train; and in doing so, create the ultimate fitness collaborative.

The majority of our membership since expanding has been created by people who had already been training at LA Fitness, Golds, Planet Fitness, or another facility and came to The TOP Strength Project looking for something more.  I believe what that “more” is, is atmosphere, culture, and community.  Being around like-minded people is magnetic and motivating.  I think the edge has faded over the last decade in the industry and a place that cultivates and facilitates it is hard to find.

The specialized personal training staff at The TOP Strength Project is one that truly can talk the talk and walk the walk.  The TOP Strength Project is a true fitness collaborative; created by a team of individuals who all have their own approach and insight.  It’s about resources, and resources we have.  As a staff, and as a community, we are EACH OTHER’S resources.

The TOP Strength Project is the premier location for anyone looking for strength training, powerlifting, strongman, strongwoman, body building, metabolic conditioning, or nutritional/ lifestyle coaching.  Our image and message may be a bit daunting to someone just getting started; but it shouldn’t be.  You will have a hard time finding a more encouraging, uplifting, engaging, motivating, and supportive group of people that want to see each other succeed.

The TOP Strength Project is owned by a trainer and strength competitor; who along with other goal orientated trainers many of whom also compete share high expectations for themselves.  So, what does that mean to you?  Well, when it comes to the gym, it’s not about selling memberships and hitting sales goals as much as it is creating the absolute best place to train.  It’s about your goals: improving your health and body composition, building strength, muscle, mobility, conditioning, picking up a rock, pressing a log, or pulling a fire truck.  THAT’s what drives us, and that is OUR mission.
